If you’ve got a large chunk of change burning a hole in your pocket and a blank spot above your bed filled with Mongolian lamb pillows, then Dallas is the place for you this weekend.
The first annual Dallas Art Fair is taking place this weekend over in the Fashion Industry Gallery, and from the looks of things, this won’t be the last. 38 art galleries from all around the country will be present and representing both modern and contemporary art. A quick look at the website turned up a Sol LeWitt sculpture and even a Henry Darger painting. This is the real deal, folks.
Ticket prices are a bit steep at $20 for one day and $40 for a pass for all three days, and we imagine that those prices are to weed out any gawkers, so expect a serious earpiece-chewing, art-purchasing crowd if you make it down. We may take our not Texas-sized wallet and head over to Jupiter House on the square in Denton and see about purchasing one of the graffiti pieces they currently have on display.
